Actress Eddie McClurg in Ferris Bueller is being abused by elderly people, her family claims

Actress Eddie McClurg’s family alleged that she was a victim of elder abuse.

In court documents seen by The Post, the family of the “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” star – who lives in Los Angeles and suffers from dementia – claimed that she was abused by a man who claimed to be a “long-time” friend who was said to have tried to get her out of California for marriage. Of which.

The documents – filed in California Supreme Court – name the alleged assailant Michael L. Ramos, who is said to have lived in the 76-year-old Los Angeles home since 2017.

According to the documents, Ramos is unemployed and doesn’t pay rent or any expenses, was able to “work his way” in McClorge’s life, and reportedly tried to get her out of California in order to marry her despite being diagnosed with dementia.

The documents also allege that Ramos “sexually assaulted” McClurg’s current caregiver, with a report filed with the Los Angeles Police Department. In addition, the caregiver was “concerned” that Ramos “has or may have assaulted the conservatory and that she might not even know it was happening to her,” according to court filings.

McClurg and Ramos “never got involved [in] A romantic relationship,” with the caretaker now concerned that he was sexually assaulting the actress.

They reported that he wanted to marry her out of state despite knowing that she “lacked capacity” and that she was living in her home for “companionship,” which the guardianship judge allowed.

McClurg is under guardianship and received protection from a judge – according to the documents – who ordered Ramos that he “shall not enter into a valid marriage” with McClurg.

The guardianship attorney – who has been in place since 2019 – is said to be now requesting an order to remove Ramos from the legal arrangement altogether.

The McClurg family reportedly went to court in 2019 to claim the legal arrangement, claiming that she was living with a male companion who was verbally abusive and tried to influence the management of her property by getting her to sign documents.

A 2019 Neuropsychological Assessment Report obtained by The Post stated that McClurg “has a progressive, irreversible neurodegenerative disorder.” The report identified previous instances in which McClorge was allegedly taken advantage of, including by a married contractor who worked in her home and later “moved in” in her home, claiming to be her “boyfriend”. It is alleged that the contractor’s wife “began to call the patient and even chase after the patient” before Angelique Cabral, McClurg’s cousin, intervened.

The evaluation also noted that McClurge was allegedly “friended” by Ramos in 2012 or 2013.

Cabral was appointed her guardian and filed an emergency petition on July 14 to remove Ramos from McClurg’s home.

Ramos filed an objection to the emergency order with his declaration, denying that McClurough or her caretaker had been sexually assaulted or abused.

McClurg has over 200 acting characters and has appeared in blockbuster films such as “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” and “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” and has acted as voiceover in “The Little Mermaid”, “A Bug’s Life”, “Cars” and “The Movie” Rugrats”.
