Most Disney employees oppose left-leaning efforts to promote inclusion, such as the recent change of “Fairy Godmother” addresses at Bibbidi Boppidi Boutiques in Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California sparking Internet outrage, a member of the Disney team said. Fox News Digital.

“There’s a plaque as you enter Disney World that says ‘Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, of tomorrow, and of imagination,’ but it is increasingly becoming a world of awakening, political correctness, and indoctrination,” Jose Castillo, Stream The Walt Disney Company The employee, who is running for Congress in Florida as a Republican, told Fox News Digital on Wednesday. “It’s not what Walt Disney envisioned, and it’s not what Disney fans subscribed to.”

Members of Bibbidi Bobbidi Boquite, who were once called “Fairy Godmothers in Training,” now have the nickname “Fairy Godmother’s Apprentices,” in an apparent attempt to be gender neutral, Walt Disney World News Today reported Tuesday. The Disney-focused blog Streaming the Magic suggested that due to the name change, “cast members who may not identify as female can remain a part of the children’s dress-up and style process without having to refer to themselves as the female Disney character.”

It appears Disney made the change before the store reopened on August 25, after it was closed during the coronavirus pandemic. Disney did not respond to requests for comment at press time.

“This is basically just another unnecessary political statement and more pandering to the fringe left,” Castillo told Fox News Digital. “It seems that Disney executives can’t help themselves. They continue to multiply with intense cynicism, which only serves to alienate their customers and employees.”

“A lot of my colleagues here at Disney have been with the company for decades – they can’t wait to retire, because of this constant push for extremist agendas,” Castillo added. “I can’t stress enough that the majority of people working at Disney don’t support these things.”

‘Silent majority’ of Disney employees supports Florida law, Disney employee works for Congress

Castillo previously told Fox News Digital that a “silent majority” of Disney employees support Florida Parental Rights Act HB 1557, even though the company took a public stand against it after LGBTQ employees protested. Although critics have called it the “Don’t Say Gay” law, it doesn’t ban the word “gay” in schools. Instead, it prohibits classroom instruction—not casual discussion—of “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” with children in third grade or younger, “or in a manner that is inappropriate for the age or developmentally appropriate to students by state standards.”

After Disney condemned the law, the Florida legislature passed and Governor Ron DeSantis signed a law stripping Walt Disney World of a decades-old private agreement that allowed the park to govern itself.

In addition to opposing the law, Disney has embraced a left-wing version of totalitarianism in recent years. Last summer, the company began removing any use of the phrase “ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls” from its parks.
