FX’s ‘Atlanta’ sets September premiere for season finale (TV news report)

The fourth and final season of FX’s “Atlanta” has scheduled its September premiere, with episodes airing on Hulu the next day on the air.

Starring Donald Glover, Brian Terry Henry, Lakeith Stanfield, and Zazie Beetz, next season finds Erin, Alfred, Darius and Van in their hometown of Atlanta after their third season journey across Europe, while reflecting on the overarching theme of the new season. Whether the city has changed or if they have changed.

The teaser highlights several references from episode 31 of the show so far, including the unseen car from the season one episode “The Club” and an appearance from fan-favorite side character Zan, played by Freddie Kuguru. Season three featured the main cast traveling across Europe in more than half of its ten episodes with the other episodes returning to Atlanta, featuring anthology stories focused on new characters.

Glover executive produces “Atlanta” alongside his brother and series writer Stephen Glover, show director Hero Murray, writer Stephanie Robinson, Paul Sims and Diane McGonigle. The show is produced by FX Productions.

The Ramsay-focused channel is currently showing episodes of “Hell’s Kitchen,” “Kitchen Nightmares,” “MasterChef,” and “MasterChef Junior,” with series such as “Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares,” “Ramsay’s Best Restaurant,” and “Gordon Ramsay’s Ultimate Cookery Course.” “Gordon’s Great Escape”, “The F Word” and “Ramsay In 10” are set to join the channel’s lineup in September. Ramsay’s TV biography is comprehensive on a global scale, hosting and producing many of the aforementioned shows, and Studio Ramsay has launched Global Productions last year in partnership with Fox Entertainment.

FETV (Family Entertainment Television) revealed that its June 2022 labels were the network’s highest monthly ratings ever, according to Nielsen Media Research’s C3 ratings. Ratings revealed that the network experienced 52 consecutive weeks of year-over-year growth in a single day with a total audience; highest ever quarterly average on total day and at peak audiences among total household audiences, adults 25-54 and adults 35-64; Three consecutive months of standard initial evaluations with adults 25-54; It is the fifth consecutive quarter of year-over-year growth in total today with adults 25-54. For the month of June, FETV ranked No. 43 in total for the day with households among ad-supported cable networks and No. 36 in a prime place with households. FETV’s ratings increase comes on the heels of the network’s recent addition of 11 million subscribers by launching it with the country’s largest cable provider.

Douglas Bensimon and Edward Mejia have been promoted to the current vice president of series at Disney Television Animation, the animation studio within Disney Branded Television. Meredith Roberts, Executive Vice President of Television Animation at Disney Branded Television. Bensimon leads a team that focuses primarily on Disney Television Animation’s sequential properties for Disney+ and Disney Channel, and also works closely with Marvel on branded content for children ages 6-14 and families. Mejia leads a team focused on Disney Television Animation titles by Disney Channel Heritage characters and stories for Disney+ and Disney Channel. Bensimon and Mejia continue to report to Khaki Jones, senior vice president of current series at Disney Television Animation.
