Kevin Feige promises more MCU announcements after Comic-Con

The MCU has become infamous for its presence at major conventions as Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige stands before an ecstatic crowd of fans to reveal plans for the future. Due to the pandemic, that, unfortunately, hasn’t been able to happen for a while, but Feige has just returned to San Diego Comic-Con this year to deliver the best results.

After many conflicting rumors about what’s in store for the studio, Marvel Studios has revealed the full Phase 4 and 5 listing, along with confirmation Avengers: Kang Dynasty And the secret wars Complete the sixth stage in 2025 to complete the multiverse saga.

with all of Avengers Coming collections in Phase 6 Feige provided a sketch of the schedule that left several open release dates to be filled with a promise that would be discussed again. Now, the MCU chief has teased more news on the way.

Marvel promises more announcements to come

Comic Con, Marvel

While speaking to the official Marvel Entertainment YouTube channel, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige sparked more MCU announcements after a massive San Diego Comic-Con panel revealed Phases 5 and 6 to the world.

Feige first referred to the famous energy of Hall H, the hall where most of the major Comic-Con panels are held, describing it as Hard to describe:

“It’s great. You know, the energy in Hall H is something that’s hard to describe if you haven’t been there before.”

The head of the MCU went on to promise that he’s still there ‘A lot to reveal’ but he “I don’t want to talk about everything” In the Comic-Con panel:

“There is so much to discuss and reveal, and we didn’t want to talk about everything today.”

Disney still has a D23 conference to come as it will take Marvel Studios on stage along with Lucasfilm and other studios on Saturday, September 10, at 10 a.m. PST. The conference will be held in Anaheim, California, and will be held “surprise guests” And the “Exclusive shots” During the show:

Filmmakers, celebrity talent, and surprise guests will join representatives from Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm, among others, on stage in Hall D23 at 10 a.m. for a screening of theater titles and Disney+ titles. By going behind the scenes of these highly anticipated studios’ movies, specials, and series, attendees will see exclusive footage and be among the first to learn what else is in the works.”

Disney + Day will also return in 2022 on September 8, just days before D23, and we promised to see the House of Mouse “Premiere of new content from prominent brands.” Last year’s event included the unveiling of several new MCU Disney+ series and their streaming premiere Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

What will Marvel Studios reveal in D23?

In the lead-up to Comic-Con, Deadline reported that Marvel Studios might not be giving much news at the event because it’s instead saving its biggest showing for Disney’s D23 convention. Obviously this was not the case as the attendees were dealt with the entire fifth stage roster and the next two stages confirmed Avengers the movies.

With the Multiverse Saga slate now revealed all the way through Phase 5 through the end of 2024, there probably won’t be many new project announcements in D23. Instead, the focus should be on providing new details about already announced projects that are about to shoot, are currently in production, or already wrapped.

Granted, Feige left a whole bunch of Phase 6 releases empty at Comic-Con with the promise that they’ll be revealed another day, but that day may not come as soon as many hope. After all, if Marvel Studios reveals its entire Multiverse Saga slate this year, it won’t leave anything to reveal in 2023 or 2024.

It’s also important to remember that while Marvel Studios has its own hour-long panel at Comic-Con to fill with reveal, it’s sharing the stage with Lucasfilm and other Disney studios at D23. Looking at years past, Feige tends to take the D23 stage for about 20-30 minutes, which is a lot of time to work with, but will likely lead to less news from Comic-Con.

Looking back in 2019, Comic-Con brought out the entire Stage 4 roster, while the D23 was packed with new details as well as the addition of Mrs. MarvellAnd the moon knightAnd the Strong woman to the list. Perhaps something similar will follow here, with the possibility of new revelations Deadpool 3And the werewolf at nightAnd the world war hulk.

In terms of transmission, this may be the biggest news to come out of the D23. Feige must confirm the characters you will be participating in Lightning And the Captain America: New World OrderWhile The Fantastic Four He might finally announce the cast and director.

Overall, fans should be preparing for some major reveal out of D23, but nothing comes close to the level of Comic-Con. Recent rumors have indicated that old Fox contracts prevent any X-Men projects from moving through until 2025, so while there’s a chance mutants will debut in Phase 6, they can be saved for the next saga.

Marvel Studios will be presenting at the D23 conference on Saturday, September 10, at 10AM PT — the panel is not expected to go live.
