Let’s crack the amazing trailer for House of the Dragon

Yesterday, HBO released an awesome new trailer for Dragon HouseNext Game of thrones Prequel series. And now, we’re here to go through it in too many details to see if we can pull out any interesting bits of information, or just spit it out. I am docile.

I’ll tell you right away that my favorite thing about the trailer was those beautiful wide shots. Here we have some great landscapes and cityscapes, including plenty of looks at King’s Landing as it was 200 years ago. Game of thrones.

This domed building is the Dragonpit, which we visited in Game of thrones When it was a useless ruin. Here, it houses the royal dragons, of which there are many.

King’s Landing was an important location in Game of thronesbut it will be The important site in Dragon House. Good to see a little council at that again, in this case pondering the idea of who should be the heir to King Viserys I Targaryen (Paddy Considine):

Another great shot; This is like a duel from the pilot episode:

One of the candidates to succeed King Viserys is Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith), his mercurial younger brother:

But the one Viserys chooses is his only surviving child Rhaenyra Targaryen, played by Milly Alcock as a young woman and Emma D’Arcy as an adult. She is seen here with Lenore Villarion, whom she married as part of a political union despite the fact that they are related and he is gay. This may explain the depression:

But don’t worry: Rhaenyra has other suitors. Here she is, looking at a young knight named Kriston Cole (Fabian Frankl):

These two get into a relationship, although it probably won’t surprise you to hear that it doesn’t end well; This is the Game of thrones A sequel show, after all.

Lots of new Iron Thrones have been made in this series. It’s basically the same thing, but nowadays there are a lot of blades pushed around the edges, giving it a more serious look.

The people around her are also dangerous. This is Lord Commander of the Kingsguard Ser Harrold Westerling (Graham McTavish) who gave the work to Daemon, who angered his brother King. He does it a lot.

Again, love these wide shots. And here Damon Targaryen encounters some of the many, many Enemies I think are Dragonstone. Love the light through the mist in the air.

Two words: angry horse.

Here’s a glimpse of Rhaenyra as an adult, played by D’Arcy. She is succeeded by her ex-boyfriend and current rival Aliscent Hightower (Olivia Cooke), who has married her father and now has a son who would prefer to ascend the Iron Throne over Rhinera.

We also take a look at the adult version of one of Aliscent’s sons by the King: Aemond Targaryen (Ewan Mitchell). I hope the show is good enough to have multiple seasons, because Aemond is having some craziness**t.
