She-Hulk’s latest clip makes fun of the Hulk, and sees Bruce ignoring his powers as a complete “negative side”

New trailer for Marvel’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law It provided more evidence that the upcoming Disney Plus series intends to introduce the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of Jade Giantess by tearing down Bruce Banner.

Released on August 1st and not brilliantly titled Nailing It, the new preview opens with Jen showing off her immediate dealings with her newfound cousin’s power.

First, his attempt to teach yoga as a tool to help control her side of the Hulk is countered by a visual presentation of the fact that although he has had years of experience with The Other Guy, she actually has a better sense of control over her powers than he does over his – Lots of jealousy visible.

Then, after Bruce sets an example of his ‘ground pound’ technique by causing the ground to crack with just one punch, Jane responds with a blow of her own, which despite being thrown with less effort has the most impressive result. They dislodge boulders from the surrounding cliffs and send a shock wave into the forest behind them.

She shrugged, then jokingly said to Bruce, “Well, it’s easy.”

Allowing his jealousy toward his budding counterparts to over-understand their now-combined abilities to get the best of him, the Avenger responds by shoving her off the cliff, denouncing her as a “petty slut!” It falls to the ground beneath it.

(Oddly enough, this clip breaks with the “Jen-flipping-Bruce-the-middle-finger-as-she-fall” joke seen in the series’ latest trailer.)

I jumped up again, and Jane proceeded to criticize her cousin’s teaching methods, asking lightly, “So, I’m obviously talking about her on all this stuff. When am I going to use these things as a lawyer?”

Bruce calmly explains, “Jane, when you have powers like this, it’s like putting a target on your back, and on the backs of all the people you care about.”

“Oh, cool,” Jane replied, “Another way to ruin my life.” “Thanks, Bruce!”

Noting her frustration with her new life circumstances, Bruce then attempts to extend an olive branch to his cousin by admitting, “Well, all I’ve been doing is showing the negatives of being mortal, but there are a few turns.”

After a quick cut, the Hulk is then seen standing behind a bar mixing alcoholic drinks, proudly telling Jane that one such positive aspect of being a Hulk is how “our bodies metabolize alcohol at an incredibly fast rate.”

“Which means we can drink a lot and not get drunk,” he boasts. “All the buzz, no bar.”

As the clip comes to a close, Jane can be seen giving Bruce an excited nod and acknowledging, “That’s fine.”

As such, Bruce’s confession above seems to imply that he considers the good he was able to do thanks to those same aspects of their power, including stopping Loki’s conquest of the land and preventing Fenrir’s massacre of the Asgardian peoples – not to mention how they allowed it. him to survive by using the Nano Gauntlet to bring back half of the universe’s living population into existence – as nothing more than noticeable “negatives” in his life.
