The biggest news and announcements from Warner Bros. SDCC Panel 2022

Warner Bros. A panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 has been one of the most anticipated games of the year, and there have been some updates and announcements for audiences to delve into.

Going to the board, we expected updates on black AdamThe Shazam! sequel Aquaman sequel, Wonder Woman 3And the Batman 2 (And other possibilities Batman popup), maybe just an update on Sparkle. The Rock Hopes Black Adam and Justice Society Give DCEU a ‘New Beginning’

Dwayne Johnson’s upcoming anti-hero movie is DC’s upcoming live-action movie on the agenda, and will introduce the Justice Society. Originally scheduled for release in July, it was moved to October amid a flurry of Warner Bros. schedule change. A new trailer has been released, featuring Amanda Waller Viola Davis, more Justice Society, and a new red-horned villain (although this segment appears to have been cut from the online version released).

Johnson first appeared on stage in costume, before quickly switching to something less head-turning. Talk about giving the DC Universe a fresh start with the Justice League, and the chance to build it even more. Asked by a fan who would win a fight between Black Adam and Superman, Johnson responded that “who plays Superman” depends on the audience’s shouts. But

New Shazam Trailer! Shows the Wrath of the Evil Gods and Rachel Ziegler

A surprise is back in 2019, the first Shazam! The movie was the kind of sweet family fun that you hope for from this particular character. Coming to the SDCC, we’ve already seen Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu as evil ancient gods. The new trailer gave us more of Mirren’s work (including a moment in which Zachary Levi’s Billy Batson said he’s seen all the Fast and the Furious movies, the last of which starred Mirren) and our first look at West side story Stars Rachel Ziegler in the movie, as a new character with glowing hands.

This was the only film released in Warner Bros. scheduling changes. It moved from the 2023 release to December 2022.

There are no updates on any of the other projects, notably The Flash

We thought there might be news about the upcoming sequel to AquamanThe third Wonder Woman movie, or whatever movie is coming Batman Follow-ups or bat girl movie or file static shock movie – basically, anything about other projects. But no! They were just these two new trailers.

Most notably, there were no updates Sparkle. DC’s most turbulent project is in a bit of a crisis mode, due in part to lead actor Ezra Miller’s erratic behavior. This movie has been in the works for long enough until Ben Affleck joined the cast nearly two years ago, and a trailer was dropped in October 2021. Since then, it’s been a series of delays and mishaps for the speedster movie.

Updates on this project were noticeably absent during the event. Sparkle she did Make one appearance – short, in the new Shazam trailer! Movie – but even then, the character’s face was carefully covered or obscured at all times (see above for The Flash Without A Face).
